HTS SQUARE DRIVE SETS
(SDS)
A square drive set (SDS) offers the user a complete package, which when attached to a hydraulic power unit (console), enables tightening and loosening bolts with a socket driven by the square drive. The SDS package includes the hydraulic powerhead with attached lead hoses and coupling; reaction arm, which fits over the spline on the powerhead; and the square drive wrench. Buying the set, as a package, will offer cost saving over buying the components separately. They are designated by the part number HTS (X) such as HTS (4) SDS
HTS POWERHEADS
The hydraulic powerhead may be purchased as a separate component, which includes attached lead hoses, couplings and reaction arm. Each powerhead is also shipped with the socket head cap screws and Allen wrench for attaching a wrench for attaching a wrench to the powerhead, and a color-coded gauge overlay to allow direct torque readoul from the pressure gauge of the console. A small container of 503 lubricant is also supplied with each powerhead to allow the user to lubricate the components of the wrench and powerhead, which may require lubrication periodically. They are designated by the part number HTS (X) such as HTS4. An available powerhead option for use exclusively with low clearance hex wrenches is the” No-Spline” version. It offers a cost savings by eliminating the spline on the powerhead. As a result, the reaction arm is omitted, which is not typically required for low clearance hex applications. The “No-Spline” versions are designated by part number HTS (X) NS such as HTS4NS
HTS SQUARE DRIVE WRENCHES
The square drive wrench may be purchased as a separate component, but it must be attached to an HTS powerehead before it can be used. The square drive wrenches are designated by the part number HTS (X) S such as HTS4S. In order to drive socket-head caps-screws, we can provide splined male hex drives, which take the place of line square drive component of the wrench.
HTS LOW CLEARANCE HEX WRENCHES
Low clearance hex wrenches are purchased as separate items, and have been designed to fit nearly every application in the bolting environment. Use of high strength steel in the nickel-plated wrench housing offers the very small nose radius and very thin profile which solve the demands of the low clearance bolting applications. As a result, while there are more than 50 different “families” of hex wrenches available, each is designed to fit one of the HTS powerheads. Hex wrenches are designated by part numberHTS (X) H (YYY), such as HTS4H107, (YYY) indicates the measurements across the flats of the nut, with the first digit representing a measurement in inches, and the last two digits representing a measurement in 1/16ths of an inch. HTS4H107 is a hex wrench which will attach to the HTS4 powerhead and turn a nut which measures 1-7/16” across the flats. Metric hex wrenches are designated in millimeters, followed by an M, such as HTS4H7OM. While the standard powerheads are shipped with reaction arms, applications which exclusively require low clearance hex wrenches permit the user to save money by purchasing the “No-Spline” version of the powerhead. The “No-Spline” powerhead eliminates the spline and the reaction arm, which are typically not used with low clearance hex wrenches. The “No-Spline” versions are designated by part number HTS (X)-NS, such as HTS4-NS.
FITS ON THE APPLICATION:
Which manufacture the HTS family of hydraulic wrenches from high quality, high strength, through-hardened steels. Our housings and internal moving parts are precision machined to very exact tolerances. Use of high strength materials and precision machining allows us to construct the smallest possible wrench capable of producing the greatest possible torque values.
HYDROTECH HTS TOOLS FIT A HIGHER PERCENTAGE OF APPLICATIONS THAN VIRTUALLY ANY OTHER HYDRAULIC WRENCH AVAILABLE TODAY.
